Even if this year Xmas is more difficult to go up the line of lights of my enthusiasm, I’ve tried to instill it in those around me.
I’ve decorated 5 Xmas trees and I’ve donated 3 with the same sentimental principle that I will now share. Mum also has her little tree, a guardian angel and a soldier ready for anything for her (our beloved Nutcracker).
I’d like to let born even in you, step by step, this Xmas. Which means birth, novelty, and rebirth.
ITALIANO
Vorrei far nascere insieme a voi, step by step, questo Natale. Che significa nascita, novità, e rinascita.
1. Let’s start with the tree of life: our daily living. Bare. Small. Dried up from everyday life. We must learn to love it.
Spoglio. Piccolo. Rinsecchito dalla quotidianità. Dobbiamo imparare ad amarlo.
2. You just need to light up something – a flame, a light, a hope, a dream – to rediscover the joy of living – the tree. And fall in love with it again.
3. And you have to look carefully: there are many small emotions – red balls – and passions that dot this life – the tree. We need to give them importance, hang them to remember them.
4. You have to build a thread of small emotions – little balls – and memories to look at when the lights go out and you see nothing but darkness.
5. Dreams are like little bells, they ring inside us and keep us alive, feed our flame, carry us forward.
6. Joys are gold, the immense resource of our life – the tree. And of our wanting to live.
7. And then there is love. That’s everything. It resonates in the soul with each breath. It should be placed high above all the rest. Because it is the beginning and the end.
7. E poi c’è l’amore. Che è tutto. Risuona nell’animo ad ogni respiro. Va posto in alto, sopra tutto il resto. Perché è l’inizio e la fine.
We have realized a metaphor of life: daily living (the tree) lit (the lights) by the small emotions (red balls), gathered in a row (thread of balls), together with the dreams that resonate (the little bells), which are joy (yellow balls), with love (bell) that is the beginning and the end.
This is what we must rediscover at every Xmas: the joy of being born again to life.
How is your Xmas this year?
Happy holidays to all,
xx Dasynka
Buone feste a tutti,
xx Dasynka
Second Xmas tree. Third Xmas tree. Fourth Xmas tree. Fifth Xmas tree. Mom with her little Xmas tree, and angel and the Nutcracker. Xmas tradition: gingerbread cookies. From my 2015 degree. Xmas tradition: movies movies movies. By day. By night. These are the photos I did for a personal exhibition after winning a photo contest. Our traditional Xmas Advent Calendar.
