Perfection is a mental mirage that tarnishes sight, loses us in a continuous mistake and conditions our idea of happiness.
There is a whole phase of life in which we turn our gaze to a nonexistent perfection but which we believe to see in others.
It means constantly comparing yourself with anyone, always feeling in competition, and in defeat. It means losing, at some point, the sense of things.
Our sense.
Our goodness, and our happiness.
We should learn to compare and measure ourselves only with what we were and who we are; the others must be a spur to improve us, never a model of comparison.
Over the years – the life – maturity takes over, which slowly and unknowingly leads us to make things perfect. Not to please us. But to be ourselves the key to perfection.
To identify it, obtain it, make it happen.
To transform imperfection into perfection, life into love. The pain in grow. And finally be happy.
There is no universal perfection, it houses in each of us with different parameters and needs, and it’s our choice to feel happy and perfect. Everyone is perfect in himself because perfection originates from ourselves.

La perfezione è un miraggio mentale che appanna la vista, ci perde in uno sbaglio continuo e condiziona la nostra idea di felicità.
Esiste tutta una fase della vita in cui volgiamo lo sguardo ad una perfezione inesistente ma che crediamo di vedere negli altri.
Significa paragonarsi continuamente con chiunque, sentirsi sempre in competizione, e in sconfitta. Significa perdere, ad un certo punto, il senso delle cose.
Il nostro senso.
Il nostro bene, e la nostra felicità.
Dovremmo imparare a paragonarci e misurarci solo con ció che eravamo e che siamo; gli altri devono essere uno sprono a migliorarci, mai un modello di confronto.
Col passare degli anni – della vita – subentra la maturità, che lentamente e inconsapevolmente ci porta a rendere perfette le cose. Non ad accontentarci. Ma ad essere noi stessi la chiave per la perfezione.
Ad individuarla, ricavarla, realizzarla.
A trasformare l’imperfezione in perfezione, la vita in amore. Il dolore in crescita. Ed essere finalmente felici.
Non esiste una perfezione universale, essa alberga in ognuno di noi con parametri ed esigenze diverse, ed è una nostra scelta sentirci felici e perfetti. Ognuno è perfetto in sé stesso perché è dai noi stessi che ha origine la perfezione.

Love both of them but I think I like the pairing with the black culottes more because of the colour contrast emphasising that interesting chevron hem!

SO agree with the sentiments about perfection. And our society seems to be growing more and more obsessed with this idea of it and achieving it. Embracing and loving yourself no matter what is so key to happiness, and flaws should be celebrated!

“Dovremmo imparare a paragonarci e misurarci solo con ciò che eravamo e che siamo; gli altri devono essere uno sprono a migliorarci, mai un modello di confronto.” Questa frase mi fa pensare ad una frase che mi dice sempre mia mamma: “quando tra te e un’amica comincia ad esserci invidia sicuramente amicizia non è!”… E così mi voglio collegare alla tua frase, perché mi è capitato di confronto con una persona e volere essere come lei, e troppo tardi ho capito che era sbagliato. Ma col tempo, per fortuna, si matura, si cresce, s’impara a prendere le giuste decisioni.
